(1) TASK 1 Design Terminology - Define the following design terms and locate at least two example images from the Internet that illustrate the term.  Please properly site and attribute the url source in the caption of each photo.


ContrastContrast is the difference in luminance or color that makes an object distinguishable. 

   

 Emphasis- special importance, value, or prominence given to something.

   

Balance (informal balance, and formal balance)-Balance is the equal distribution of visual weight in a design. Visual balance occurs around a vertical axis; our eyes require the visual weight to be equal on the two sides of the axis. 

Proportion-a part, share, or number considered in comparative relation to a whole.

 Perspective-

the art of drawing solid objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other when viewed from a particular point.
